Lampard announces that Chelsea star will miss 2nd leg clash vs Real Madrid: “It is a disappointment for him and for us”

Frank Lampard announced, in a shocking news, that one of Chelsea’s most prominent players will be absent from facing Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final match scheduled for next Tuesday, April 18.
Real Madrid defeated the Blues with two clean goals in the first leg match that took place between the two teams last Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the capital, Madrid.
Chelsea suffered against Real Madrid, as Ben Chilwell was sent off after fouling Rodrigo, and Senegalese defender Kalidou Coulibaly was injured, and Marc Cucurella replaced him in the heart of the defence.
While Ben Chilwell’s absence was confirmed due to suspension after being sent off, Frank Lampard announced that Kalidou Koulibaly will miss Chelsea’s next two matches against Brighton today, Saturday, in the English Premier League, and Real Madrid, on Tuesday, in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Lampard said: “Koulibaly will not be available for either of the next two matches. It’s a hamstring injury and it will take weeks instead of days. He is a very good player with a lot of experience.”
He added, “Although people talk a lot about our team, we didn’t get much coverage at certain times and the Champions League squad is different from the Premier League squad.”
And he ended: “Of course, it is disappointing for him and for us, but it is an opportunity and we continue without him, and we hope that he will be as fit as he can be.”
