Alex Baena makes his final decision regarding reporting Fede Valverde to the police

Alex Baena has filed an official complaint with the police against Fede Valverde, Radio Onda Cero announced, after the attack he was subjected to on Saturday by the Uruguayan at the end of the Real Madrid-Villarreal match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Villarreal player had the option to file a complaint with the police, the competition committee of La Liga, or both. Baena chose to do so in front of the police.
Thus, the case will be subject to criminal procedures and will be removed from the sports arena, so there will be no sanctions from the Spanish Football Federation against Valverde.
For that to happen, Alex Baena will have to lodge a complaint against Valverde with the Competitions Commission, which does not intervene in cases not mentioned in the referee’s report. The incident occurred after the match, next to the Villarreal bus, in the Bernabéu Square, and the referee did not see it.
Villarreal decided not to file a complaint and leave the matter in the hands of Baena, whose decision they would support, and who finally lodged a complaint with the police. He did it on Sunday afternoon at a police station in Castellón.
Valverde claims a very serious reason which Baena denies
Those close to Fede Valverde do not deny the assault, but it is alleged that in the King’s Cup match between Villarreal and Real Madrid, Baena told Valverde to “cry now because your son will not be born” and that in the match on Saturday he said something similar to that again.
According to this narrative, the Villarreal player refers to the problems faced by Valverde and his partner Mina Bonino, who were about to lose their second child in the finally resumed pregnancy.
Baena defended himself on his social media account, saying he did not say that phrase. And he wrote on his Twitter account: “I am very sad about the attack that I was subjected to after the match, and I was surprised by what was said about me. It’s completely wrong, I didn’t say that.” The player was seen after the accident with a swollen cheekbone.
